BBB
Added 9/8/2008
Entry twoBy CatnipBBB is an overly used abbreviation for Big Boy Battles, the site you are on now.
Origin
It was started by Roy and Marth, our first commentators. They used it in one battle and everyone else seemed to like it. It is now used frequently. People use it more than using Big Boy Battles, the real name of the site. It seems to make people forget the real name of the site sometimes. It's not a very imaginative name, and the B's were the reason I chose it.

Make no doubt, I use it too, such as on the page

Big Boy Battles (Project)

Big Boy Battles is the content of the website. The Battles are the only part of the "project" itself before it became a website.
Start
One spring afternoon, Catnip opened up Microsoft Word and started typing a Character Battle, something he had seen on many popular Nintendo websites. He soon sent it to Chewtoy, who he also added in. He also sent it to Comic-lover#1, who he also added in. Soon, there were many custom characters in the Battles.

Big Boy Battles (Website)

Entry Three
By Catnip
Big Boy Battles is the website you are on. It is a grand website, hosted from Wetpaint, an easy to use website maker with a WYSIWYG editor.
Humble Beginnings (Year 1: Creation Year)
The sleepy, humid evening of August 7, 2006 was the birth time of this miraculous piece of work. 8:17 PM was the time the homepage was created and the site was brought to life. Two pages were made-Current Match and Old Fights. Matches were posted, though not nearly as good as the ones you feast your eyes on today. I actually took a break from the website from November to late December, when I picked it up again. It was questionable for me to pick it up again in the first place. It's a darn good thing I did.
Second Try (Year 2: Awakening Year)
Year 2 was the TRUE beginning. The Gaming section was launched and we had the largest match until that time. More users joined and we started linking with other sites. We emerged finally and met others with the Wetpaint host.
Up Until Today (Year 3: Sealing Year)
Today, BBB flourishes, gaining many new users. We also fight against Wetpaint for our respect and freedom. We do many things, battles are posted frequently, the Gaming section is growing, and many new features are announced. Users have fun at BBB and I am very proud of my work.

Big Boy Battles Home

This article is about a page. To view that page, click here. Big Boy Battles Home is the homepage of the website you are on. It was the first page of the site, however, it is not have the most total edits.
First Homepage ("The Ultimate Homepage")
The VERY, VERY, VERY first homepage, made on August 7, had only a short note from Catnip to the joining user. Later, many, many, MANY images were added, Catnip giving it the title "The Ultimate Homepage". It also soon was the page for News, as there was no news page back then.
Next Step Up
Catnip redid the homepage, getting rid of the characters and putting News on its own page. However, it soon got cluttered again, with widgets and no real links to other pages. It was time for a big change-the first modern Big Boy Battles homepage was soon made.
Today's Homepages
Today's basic Big Boy Battles homepage has a News box, the current one even featuring a Gaming News box, links to many of the other pages of the site, and occasionally, only occasionally, a special message about the current events at the time.

Big Boy Beacon
Added 9/26/2008
Entry Fourteen
By Catnip
The Big Boy Beacon is a torch lit to signal the start of the match. It must remain burning or the match must stop.
Installation
The Beacon is a relatively old feature. It was put in at Old fights 5, without any notice, unfortunately. However, it has been acknowledged and now most people understand it.
Use
The Beacon is an important part of the battle. The referee must light the Beacon for the match to start. Should it be doused during the match, the match stops and possibly ends. If it is touched by any contender, the contender is disqualified from the match.

The Big Boy Dome is the enormous arena in which battles take place.
Structure
The Big Boy Dome is a humongous building, rounded and a dome placed on top. There are 26 sections, A-Z, and 10 sets of bleachers with 10 sets on each, making room for 2,600 spectators. It also has a spacious basement, and underneath all of the seats yet above the basement is the staff lounge, a spacious, air conditioned paradise. Everyone has their offices there, along with a very large, flat screen HD TV, a jacuzzi, game tables, jukebox, even slot machines! The basement is where the contestants shower off after the match. The door to it is at section X. Chef Rusty has his food booth at the top of section M, along with a strict no dead cow rule. The dome is a transparent yellow color, and you can see partly through the top, though not the sides.

History
On May 7th, 2006, Catnip M. Kitty had a dream to create the most exciting battle network ever! He planned everything except for one thing-where they would take place. He tried to use the porch of a house owned by his friend Tony, however, soon Tony's house got destroyed and Catnip had not raked up enough money to build him a new one. Catnip lost his profits from the spectators and his #1 shirt. But then, his cousin Chewtoy and best friend Comic-lover#1, who had seen the shows at Tony's porch, announced they loved the idea of the character battles and pitched in all of there life's savings to build the dome! Chewtoy even made up a name: Big Boy Battles! Though nearly vetoed, it was better than anything Catnip or Comic-lover#1 could've come up with. So, Catnip hired his friends Chad, Beggingto B. Banned, and Zepedia to help build the dome. It took 2 months to complete, and its grand opening on August 7, 2006, did not attract many visits. Catnip did not give up hope, and soon, it did in fact become one of the best.
